Kate Good, Apartment All Stars
Kate Good has been leasing apartments her entire adult life. She quickly gained recognition from her employer, Trammell Crow, as the number one leasing consultant by leasing 52 apartments and closing 48 renewals in one month! Her expertise and enthusiasm took her up the ladder in the corporate world until 14 years ago, she decided to start her own business as a professional speaker and marketing solutions expert.
Kate has shared her innovative ideas with many organizations, including Apartment Associations in 53 cities, and national conventions such as 18 presentations at The National Apartment Association Annual Convention, 24 appearances at the Multi-Family Brainstorming Sessions, 10 presentations at the International Builders Show, and is an eight time presenter at the Multi-Housing World Annual Convention. She consistently receives the highest marks possible for her content, presentation style and audience involvement. Her presentations have been described as “enthusiastic,” “cutting-edge,” and “quality information.” Each year she is proud to share her depth of knowledge with over 20,000 industry professionals.
Lisa Trosien, Apartment All Stars
Lisa Trosien is a highly respected multifamily educator, speaker, author and consultant with over 25 years of industry experience. Described by her customers as “incredibly smart” and “amazingly effective,” she’s worked with owners, management companies, and trade associations across the U.S. and Canada.
Lisa is utilized as an industry expert by companies such as The Wall Street Journal, CBS Marketwatch, Washington Post, National Public Radio, SELF Magazine, Business Week, Chicago Tribune and more. Attendees of her educational sessions agree that she presents great information and superior strategies, while still keeping learning both meaningful and fun. Lisa is well known for her meticulous research and strong presentation skills. Her sessions at the annual National Apartment Association Education Conference are consistently among the highest attended and highest rated of the event.
Toni Blake, Apartment All Stars
Toni Blake is a popular international speaker, consultant, author and comedian inspiring thousands of multifamily apartment industry professionals every year. With over 30 years of training experience, her “laugh while you learn” approach has made Toni one of the most sought-after experts in her field.
As a published author, Toni’s ideas have been published in dozens of trade magazines and blogs across the country. In November 2008, Toni was awarded the Multifamily PRO “Industry Legend” Award. She was selected by the National Apartment Association as one of the industry’s “Marketing Gurus” and is recognized for her research and innovative concepts in customer service, sales, marketing and social media. Toni was honored at the very first Multifamily PRO “People’s Choice Awards” winning awards for “Educational Excellence” and “Imagination and Innovation.”
Utilizing her multi-lingual talents, Toni was a featured speaker at the 2006 ISTA Conference in Kassel Germany, presenting IN GERMAN to an audience of 260 German multifamily professionals. She currently serves as President of TotallyToni.com. Toni lives in Northern Colorado with her husband.
Kate Dittrick has devoted her entire practice to labor and employment issues, with an emphasis on wage and hour matters. Ms. Dittrick’s practice focuses on preventing claims and defending employers in litigation. Ms. Dittrick provides a wide range of advice and counsel to employers on how to avoid lawsuits and administrative charges. Ms. Dittrick provides a variety of training for managers and supervisors on best practices and legal implications of their actions.
Employment claims are often avoided by having well-written and legally compliant policies, handbooks, employment agreements, offer letters, termination letters, and correspondence regarding leaves of absence. Ms. Dittrick drafts such documents and also reviews and revises existing documents. Through extensive litigation experience, Ms. Dittrick knows the common issues that arise and how best to avoid the same through well-drafted employment documents.
After a 21- year career at Johnson and Johnson, Rodney Longhofer is now ready to focus his attention on unmasking the stigma associated with mental illness. With personal and professional experiences in mental health, Rodney hopes to educate the work community on the importance and impact of a healthy mind. Serving as an active board member of the Valeo Behavioral Health Foundation and Friends of Johnson County Mental Health, Rodney will accomplish this goal by engaging and encouraging healthy discussions involving the Mental Health First Aid at Work curriculum. Rodney graduated from Emporia (KS) State University.
Dr. Kim Hoogeveen is the creator and owner of MindSet – a company that provides leadership training and consultation support to a wide array of business owners, CEOs, and executive teams. His newest start-up endeavor, BetterCulture, is a digital-first company that offers on-demand digital tools and resources to help organizations improve their culture and create a stronger business.
Prior to starting MindSet, Kim was the founding President & CEO of QLI, a premier healthcare and rehabilitation center. During his 23 years at the helm of the organization Dr. H focused on what he terms Seven Principles of Leadership©, and the results were remarkable. QLI grew to be the nation’s largest specialized center of its kind, developing over $100,000,000 in facilities while achieving a national reputation for clinical excellence, a staff turnover rate one-fourth the industry average, record-setting customer satisfaction ratings, exceptional financial success, and being recognized FIVE times as the #1 Best Place to Work in Omaha.
Heather Wezensky is the Senior Vice President of Compliance for Seldin Company and STAR Compliance Consulting, A Division of Seldin Company, and is based on Omaha, Nebraska. Heather is an expert in Fair Housing practices and affordable housing program compliance rules and regulations and holds various affordable designations and credentials such as the CPO™, FHC™, SHCM™ and AHM. She has first-hand insight into the latest affordable housing compliance trends all due to her many years of on-site consulting work with multiple affordable housing programs, in addition to Heather and her team reviewing hundreds of resident files on a monthly basis.
Her ability to quickly comprehend the complex rules and regulations of the affordable housing industry, allows her to assist her co-workers and clients across the country to stay compliant with not only state and federal governmental agency requirements, but also with national and local Fair Housing laws. Heather is a member of the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) and the past Chair of their Fair Housing Committee and is the current Chair of their Education and Training Committee, she also sits on the SHCM™ Special Advisory & Technical Committee. Heather was given the distinct honor of NAHMA’s Industry Achievement Award in 2019 and is a current NAHMA approved CPO™, BCD™ and FHC™ Instructor.
Scott has diverse experience across nearly all disciplines in the commercial brokerage industry. Scott, a certified real estate auctioneer, joined OMNE partners in 2011 and leads their auction services unit. Scott received as BAS from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
